She is also well known for her charming illustrations in art books such as I Know An Artist, written by Susie Hodges.
Sarah and One Hundred 80 Degrees have partnered to create "The Artist Series" with images celebrating ten artists selected from the last 250 years. Each plate is crafted of melamine, a BPA free and petroleum free material which is virtually unbreakable and dishwasher safe.

Joan Miró: 1893-1983
A Catalan painter who also worked in printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics, Joan Miró thought of reality as "a point of departure never as a stopping place." He abandoned the conventional forms of painting and used biomorphic forms, geometric shapes and abstracted and semi-abstracted objects on flat picture planes to create his own visual vocabulary. Never completely giving up representation of his surrealism-inspired explorations of imagination, Miró took inspiration from his subconscious and from the art and culture of Catalonia. Seeking a new means of representation, challenging traditional doctrine along the way, Miró once famously stated, "I want to assassinate painting." His unique and instantly recognizable art made him one of the most influential 20th century artists.
